Firing Services

Our electric kiln and the double-door gas kiln are operated by our skilled technicians, and available to students, drop-ins, and outside firers.

We offer communal firings on a regular basis, or you can book a whole kiln.  Please note only stoneware and porcelain clays can be used (we high fire to 1220 degrees), and no earthenware temperature or luster firing unless a whole kiln is booked or it has been arranged with our studio manager.

Please note no solid objects will be fired and we reserve the right to refuse firing if we feel the work can put other pottery work at risk.

All children’s work needs to be supervised while making to avoid air pockets.

If you wish to fire your work you can deliver your work in a box to our workshop area with your name, mobile number mail, and firing temperature required. All drop-in work

and pick-up work are on Monday’s 10:00-14:30.

We will be in touch with you when the work is ready for pickup.

Please note our storage area is very small and we need you to pick up your work within 7 days of firing.  We can’t take any responsibility for the work left beyond that time.

COMMUNAL KILN PRICES:
students – $14.30 per kilo
same Prices for bisque and glaze firings
